Introduction


aHAND4 ® Life!'s Class D Directors are foremost esteemed Caregivers of a Person with a chronic, Significant Physical Disability due to development or accident (PSPD) and who is of significant financial need thereby. The PSPD may be either their Client, adolescent biological or adopted child (age 14 or greater) or young Adult child (age 18 or greater), or their relative, including spouse, sibling, cousin, etc. Each such Director/Nominee must be highly active and involved personally in Caregiving for at least the five (5) of the most recent seven (7) years.

These Director/Nominees are also otherwise people employed in (or retired from) in a wide variety of industries and vocations, or the designated "stay-at-home" spouse of such an employed individual.

All Directors/Nominees must also have demonstrated leadership capability and motivation to serve in this important Directorship category. Each must possess a unique and substantial ability to influence the growth and operation of this organization in service to our charitably disabled Membership.

All Directors/Nominess must also meet (and ongoing) General Membership, General Directorship & Specific Class Directorship requirements below.

Specific Directorship Requirements


This Class Directors/Candidates must possess the following ADDITIONAL SPECIAL ATTRIBUTES for accepted Nomination in this Class*:

•  Must meet all the particular requirements as listed in the opening paragraph above; PLUS


Specific Directorship REQs (cont.)


•  the Caregiving experience stated must be substantial, successful, and good standing, and with regard to professional experience, may be either in private or public corporations, non-profit organizations, government, or private practice; PLUS

•  May preferrably have some sort of not-for-profit corporate experience, preferably 501c3 "tax-exempt" Public Charity, and as a Volunteer and/or Staff or Director; PLUS

•  May also be a person of disability themselves, but may NOT be a PSPD, as requirements for Class A are exclusive of any other Class of Membership. If also a PSPD Parent, MAY apply in your choice of Category B, C, or D, if there are OPEN or expiring term position(s).
